The CSF was set up in 1961 to enable brothers and sisters to contribute to the relief of suffering and human need outside the Christadelphian community.   Our name comes from the parable Jesus told to bring to life God’s commandment that we should love our neighbours as ourselves.

In the parable, the Good Samaritan, despite the traditional enmity between Jews and Samaritans, came to the aid of a Jew who had been set upon by thieves and left for dead.   Elsewhere, Jesus teaches us to: “Give to him who asks you…” (Matthew 6:42) and Paul exhorts us to: “…do good to all, especially those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)
